Jan is the Director of the Pentland Centre for Sustainability in Business and the lead of their Knowledge and Action Hub in Business and Biodiversity.

Neytullah Ciftci

Research Associate, Pentland Centre for Sustainability

Neytullah is Research Associate in Business and Biodiversity, The Pentland Centre for Sustainability in Business, Lancaster University.

Kathryn Deegan

Vice President, Investment Banking, RBC Capital Markets

Kathryn has advised and raised capital for a number of renewable and infrastructure companies. She regularly advises listed companies on positioning their equity stories with capital markets investors, investor marketing strategies and interactions, deal structuring and negotiations, and company valuations.

Kevin McCann

Senior ESG Associate, NextEnergy Group

Kevin is part of NextEnergy Group’s ESG team, supporting a range of transaction and due diligence initiatives to ensure responsible investment across NextEnergy Capital’s portfolio of solar projects. Kevin joined NextEnergy Capital from Solar Energy UK, the industry association for UK solar, where he was Head of Distributed Generation, leading research, analysis and advocacy for a range of solar policy issues.

Wesley Snell

Senior Strategist, Etifor

Wesley supports land managers to design, implement, measure, and verify their positive impacts on biodiversity and ecosystem services. He also works with companies and financial institutions to embed nature into their decision-making by assessing and prioritising their nature-related risks and setting science-based targets.

Piran White

Professor of environmental management, University of York

Piran carries out research on human-environment interactions, including the services and benefits we derive from nature and the links between ecosystems and human and animal health. He has led the development of a range of decision support tools for Government and practitioners to enhance the management of natural capital and ecosystem services, including in relation to solar park management.
