Workshop III: Reporting and Disclosures for Nature Positive Solar

Workshop III focused on deepening knowledge exchange across the solar investment value chain, bringing together around thirty participants including investors, developers, technical advisers, and ecological specialists.

Building on earlier work, the session explored how nature‑related considerations are currently being integrated into business strategies, with discussions centred on access to reliable ecological data and the practical challenges of applying nature‑related indicators at both asset and portfolio level. Participants also shared early experiences of TNFD-aligned reporting, reflecting on the implications for risk management, governance structures, and evolving stakeholder expectations.

These insights are informing the development of approaches to nature‑related assessment and disclosure, helping strengthen our understanding of physical risks and prepare for future regulatory developments. This collaborative engagement supports our ambition to ensure that the growth of renewable energy is aligned with the protection and restoration of biodiversity.
